As our country drifts further towards an unprecede

As our country drifts further towards an unprecedented but predictable meltdown and more victims fall in the devastating blast of #Akkar, we stand once again in solidarity with all the families affected and reaffirm, once again, that explosions, corruption and the rule of dark forces will not shatter our dreams. They will only get us closer to real sustainable change.

During the inauguration of our second heritage building, the RIF building, which sits directly opposite the site of the Beirut explosion and which claimed the life of Krystel el Adm, the silence amongst all residents and guests was deafening. It is a silence that mourns what we lost and how our lives changed after the Beirut blast but one that also portrays a spirit of hope, of healing and of faith in a better Lebanon with solid foundations.

Our main message for this project is displayed in the color combination of its facades, shining brightly in front of the destruction still seen in the Beirut port. This contrast will keep growing as we work on rebuilding our city, project by project.

All beneficiaries, residential and commercial, are now in the process of moving back and all the heritage features were brought back to life. Our people and our culture define us.

There is a pressing felt need to provide nursing staff of all levels with a form of recognition for their services and unwavering dedication. This applies to RHUH staff as well as all #nurses in Lebanon.

Nurse Helpers.

Increasing the number of nurse helpers to assist registered nurses in non-medical tasks.

Due to the understaffing of nurses, patients are not receiving the adequate assistance that is beyond the medical needs; this includes assistance in feeding, turning them to avoid bedsores, and sanitary and other essential chores.
This need has been partially addressed by recruiting only 3 nurse helpers to join and assist the team of Nurses in those specific tasks. Additional nurse helpers are required.

Equipment, Supplies and Medications.

Providing equipment, supplies and medications for the prevention and treatment of bedsore symptoms.

Patients tend to develop severe bed sores due to often being bedridden for long stretches of time. The optimal prevention is by intensive nursing care and providing the appropriate treatment and using the suitable equipment to avoid the severe implications of bedsores.

Only a part of these medications and equipment has been kindly provided by donors. An additional support is strongly required for this pillar.
